PropTech: The Players & The Disrupters

PropTech Business Breakfast, Wednesday 10th May, 2017

Presented by Holtby Turner Executive Search, TH Real Estate & The University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School

Marking the much anticipated launch of Professor Andrew Baum’s report ‘PropTech 3.0: The Future of Real Estate’, we are thrilled to be hosting his keynote which will be debated by the sector’s most respected luminaries:

Faisal Butt – Founder & Chairman, PiLabs
James Dearsley – Founder of Sunday PropTech Review
Alice Breheny – Head of Global Real Estate Research, TH Real Estate

Event Overview

University of Oxford’s Professor Andrew Baum explores why and how expert investors plough billions of pounds into innovations that are changing the way real estate is traded, used and operated. Thousands of highly talented individuals are shaping what might be termed ‘PropTech 3.0’. With 93% of all tech startups failing to last more than three years, losing millions in investment, those who prosper will eventually have a radical impact on what has been a slow-moving, conservative industry.

Our panel of industry leaders – Faisal Butt, James Dearsley and Alice Breheny – explore what Professor Baum’s research will mean for real estate. Digging beneath PropTech’s buzzwords and jargon, our panelists discuss each facet of the latest innovations, from smart buildings and smart cities, to the Internet of Things (IoT), driver-less transport, blockchain and the sharing economy.
